Amari Baked Products Costing and Pricing Class in February 2020

Bakers and Bakerettes – hope you’ve been having a wonderful year so far, 2020 is the beginning of a new decade and we’re hoping you’ll all have a positive and successful year.

It’s been such a pleasure to connect with various bakers in Kenya the last month and even last year in 2019. One of the concern of most bakers; especially those who are new in the industry or even those who have home-based and budding bakery businesses, is costing and pricing. Many aren’t sure how to cost and price correctly; what to take into account when pricing and if they’re pricing correctly.

This is why we’ve decided we’ll be holding a costing and pricing masterclass on Saturday, February 22nd, 2020.

The Masterclass will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bomblast Memorial Hall in the Nairobi CBD. This is behind the Bomblast memorial park – next to Coorporate bank headquarters off Haile Selassie Avenue.

The class will be a practical session on how to actually cost and price; this means that every attendant will be able to go through a step by step activity of actually costing a cake and finding a price for that cake by the end of the session. We will also discuss Wedding cake pricing & quotations as well as how to cost pastries and other baked items such as buns and breads. This Masterclass session will be run by Maureen Kamari of Amari.

Towards the end of the session; we’ll also have a guest speaker: Margaret Wagatu-Njoroge of Hope Cakes Sugarcraft Centre. A very successful Kenyan Bakery business owner who will share a brief insight on running a successful baking business and the importance of pricing.

If you would like to attend the class; you have to book ahead – by Feb. 19th; by making full payment of Kshs. 1,500 to our Lipa na Mpesa, Buy Goods till no. 89736 (Amari Quickbreads Bakery). You can contact us to make inquiries or to confirm a payment made:
