3 Simple Tips To Follow While setting Your Annual goals

I hope the start of this wonderful year; as short as it may be, has been exciting and inspiring for you. For me, it has been so far and I’m completely determined to be focused and have an amazing and victorious year ahead.

As the year starts; we all tend to set goals that we never end up sticking to or achieving. If you are determined to set goals that you will achieve this year – especially business goals for your small baking business; then I have three effective tips that will help you do so.

Keep It Simple

We often like to have a long list of goals in the beginning of the year; this is part of the reason why we never end up achieving any of them. It’s very important to be focused on achieving your goals; in order to do that – you cannot have a list of 10 to 20 goals. It’s quite hard to work on each goal; let alone achieve it. The best way is to set just a few goals that you can be able to focus on and work on for the year. You’ll find that you tend to achieve those few goals that you choose to focus on; as opposed to the many that overwhelm you.

Be honest with yourself and stay committed

This is an important part of goal setting and of achieving your goals as well. You have to look at your life; where you want to go and get honest on what you truly need to work on in your life. Don’t just have a list of goals that are unrealistic; this usually ends up setting you up for failure. keep-it-realYou also need to really be committed in achieving the goals you set; that means you have to put in the work that is required to get you to succeed. Decide what you want to achieve, be committed, stay committed and if you keep at it and put in the work required – you’ll achieve your goals for sure.

Have a plan, follow it and be accountable

The last and most important aspect of goal setting is having a plan and following it. First and foremost you have to write your goals down – this enables you to get clear on what you actually want to achieve. Secondly, you have to create a plan and then follow it. Like I mentioned above; you have to put in work to be successful. have-a-plan-quote-for-goal-setting-blog-post-amariThe only way to know what is required of you in order to achieve your goals; is to write it down and then come up with a plan on what to do in order to achieve success. You also need to be accountable, once you make those plans or steps to follow. If this means finding someone else who will help you be accountable; then do it. You have to make sure that you are constantly doing the things you need to throughout the year, or following the necessary steps required to achieve your goals.

Bottom Line:

Decide this is the year you will set goals that you actually achieve. Sit and write them down and make a plan on how to achieve them.
